Department : Swasthavritta

The aim of Ayurveda is" Swasthasya swasthya Rakshana"- Prevention of health of Healthy persons and "Aturasya Vikara Prasaman- Curing the diseases of diseased Person The department of Swasthavritta and Yoga, emphasizes on maintenance and promotion of health and Prevention of the diseases, through holistic approach of Dinacharya, Ratricharya , Sadvritta, Ritucharya, Achar Rasayan, Diet, lifestyle modification. Department also emphasizes practice of yoga and Naturopathy. In modern medical science, it is known as Preventive and social medicine or community Medicine.

In the curriculum, the subject is in 3rd year where students are taught both theoretical and practical knowledge about the swasthavritta, Yoga and Naturopathy.

Department has swastha vritta OPD in hospital providing guidelines to the patients about therapeutic yoga, Pathya-apathya (Diet consultation), Counselling positive life and lifestyle modification.

Department is well equipped with various models charts CD's for practice. Library books also available. A separate yoga hall is there for the practice of students in college.

3. Diet consultation pathya apathya of ahara and Vihara
4. Lifestyle modification
5. Counselling towards positive life

Visits : students are taken for visit for proper understanding of subject to the places like

• Sewage treatment plant
• Solid waste disposal
• Crematorium
• Factory visit
• PHC, leprosorium TB centre
• Yoga and Naturopathy centre , etc.
