Kriya Shareera (Physiology)
Shareera Kriya is the specialty of ayurveda which deals with study of normal functioning of body and mind. Shareera is composed of many basic process such as Ahara, Agni kosta and Prakruthi. ‘Kriya’ means which has motion or which can perform actions, and Shareera performs its kriya only when these basic process are handled according to their body propositions to maintain homeostasis.
- Basic concepts of Kriya shareera – Tridosha, Saptadhatu, Trimala etc

Department : Kriya Shareera
Main aim of Ayurveda is to maintenance & promotion of the health and second prevention of disease and to cure the sickness. To attend this Shareera Kriya plays a basic role in academic of Ayurveda.
The Kriya Shareera department holds a fundamental place in Ayurveda as it deals with the study of the normal functioning of the human body, bridging the concepts of classical Ayurvedic physiology with modern scientific understanding.
For a medical student to comprehend all other paraclinical and clinical subjects, this subject is crucial. By imparting both theoretical and practical training in body functions, the department not only strengthens the diagnostic and clinical skills of students but also fosters research and integrative approaches to health.
Thus, Kriya Shareera serves as the foundation of medical education in Ayurveda, ensuring that learners can appreciate the harmony of the body’s systems and apply this knowledge effectively in the maintenance of health and prevention of diseases.
Our institution is well equipped with full-fledged class rooms, projectors & practical classrooms. So there will be regular schedule theory and practical classrooms according to need of the students.
The syllabus and internals will be covered as per the schedule mentioned by NCISM with strict attendance allowance. The skill full hands on training will be provided during the practical session of Shareera Kriya.

Aims of the subject
- Understanding the concepts theoretically followed by practical understanding will be dealt by experienced doctors.
- The practical understanding of concepts such as, Prakruthi, Agni, Ahara & Ahara pakas will be taught through a practical records and with Power point presentations.
- The seminars, charts and models will be given to students has extracurricular activities, to bring the perfection among the students
- So the basics will be taught in such a way that the further academic subjects will be understood even better.
