This department also known as visha chikitsa, is a vital branch of Astanga Ayurveda dedicated to the comprehensive study of Toxicology and medical Jurisprudence. This includes identifying and treating signs and symptoms caused by exposure to various poisons, toxic agents as well as handling the cases of poisonous bites and stings.
Additionally, we also address health disorders that arises from improper lifestyle changes, incorrect food combinations and intake, etc, and the toxic build up in the body due to inappropriate medication use known as gara visha in Ayurveda.
Moreover, this department also deals with regard to the medical and professional ethics and etiquette as well as medico legal responsibilities of medical professionals.
This holistic approach makes this department a unique amalgamation of Science and art of healthy living.
